ACCA Typographic identity system

Chosen building: Australian Center for Contemporary Art. The building has distinctive vertical lines around its structure and constructed with overlapping, folding shapes. This then inspired the typeface and iconographies of the project.

Supervisor: Dominic Hofstede.

Idea

The building has distinctive vertical lines around its structure and constructed with overlapping, folding shapes. Idea developments using different shapes and lines similar to the building’s features. I laid off some foundation for the final type.

Wordmark

The finalised typeface with three stripes and overlapping, folding shapes representing ACCA.

Pictograms

Set of icons created based on the typeface (lines and 45-degree angles).
